Upcoming British Gansgter film

oh boy I can’t wait for this movie to come out I really can’t firstly here is the trailer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UsXz70afAm0

Right now let’s dive in, so if you don’t know the backstory of this then don’t worry because I will tell you, way back in the 50s and 60s there were the Kray twins Ronald and Reginald they basically ruled the East End of London becoming one of the most infamous gangsters in British history here is some more information about them, I would really recommend reading about it, it’s a fantastic piece of history and so I’ve been told my great grandad trained/taught one of them to box whether that’s true or not I don’t know but nonetheless it’s a fantastic piece of history to read on http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kray_twins

Now let’s talk about the actors, I must say Tom Hardy has to be one of my favourite actors of all time, he has done another biographical film about another infamous person in British history Charles Bronson (Charles Salvador now since he changed his name last year) he is known as the most violent prisoner in Britain, if you haven’t seen the film Bronson I would recommend that as well and Tom Hardy plays him fantastically well, so Hardy in this plays both Kray twins. I really cannot wait for this movie it comes out September 11 this year, if your in to gangster films (like me) then you’ll love this, I hope you will enjoy this film when it comes out as it looks fantastic, but until next time catch ya later.

If I Stay the worst film I have seen

I was bored and decided to view some trailers, I saw one for a film called if I stay, the film follows a girl played by Chloe Moretz who is involved in a car crash and I guess you could say she’s a ghost but anyway, the film is told through a series of flashbacks which I really can’t remember because the film was too long and too dull for me to handle, now don’t get me wrong but there were a few emotional scenes and with me being an emotional sponge when it comes to movies I kinda cried my eyes out at some parts of the film, so let’s dive in to probably the worst film I have seen ever.

So we follow a girl called Mia who is a cello prodigy she is waiting for a letter about her placement in Juilliard (a prestigious music school) one morning her family decide to go on a drive with it being a snow day and school is out for Mia and her little brother Teddy as they are driving thorough the woods the car they are driving collides with another car, Mia wakes up and finds out that no one can hear or see her, at the hospital Mia has 3 broken ribs a collapsed lung and internal bleeding, Teddy on the other hand is fine and conscious, through some flashbacks we see that Mia has a boyfriend called Adam, any way cut a long story short she has to decide whether she should wake up or go to heaven, halfway through the film and Teddy has died of a heamorage and Mia is still deciding on what to do, her grandpa comes in, now this to me was the most emotional part, the grandpa tells Mia that her dad made a sacrifice his job as a band member and bought her a cello, he then tells Mia that he wishes to make a sacrifice and tells her that she can let go.

So anyway at the end of the film Adam comes to visit and plays her a song and then she wakes up deciding that she wanted to wake up instead of die. And that was if I stay and ohh boy did I hate this film, I got so bored with it I skipped major plot points because I was bored and don’t even get me started on the dialogue I mean talk about cheesy oh my god the whole film was filled to the brim with cheesy lines, any who I really didn’t like this not one bit the hospital drama was good I mean I cried a few times but apart from that nothing else happens the flashbacks are just dull and I think their more of a filler to the story, if the film focused on her decision in the hospital then I would of enjoyed it.

Now let’s talk about acting, wow and I mean wow the acting was poor I mean poorer than poor excluding Chloe Moretz her acting was fantastic, the kid who played Adam was ugh it was so bad I shuddered every time he he spoke, now let’s talk about target audience, trick question this because I think you already know the answer to this, teenage girls that’s who teenage girls who love films about true love and drama, this is really not meant for guys it’s more of a chick flick, there’s no action in it just a whole load of cheesy dialogue and I really mean a whole load, I shall post the trailer down below if you want to take a look at this god awfully bad movie umm oh yeah rating uhh this film was so bad I can’t even give it a rating if minus numbers were on scale I would give this film a minus 6 because it was god awfully bad any way let me know what you thought of this films did you enjoy it or didn’t you, are you an emotional sponge when it comes to films like these let me know but until next time catch ya later

The Usual Suspects Review (really really big spoiler ahead!!!)

I still can not get my head round that ending, I mean it was a huge massively huge shock when I saw it, if you haven’t seen this film then your missing out, it’s fantastic I mean really great, the film stars Kevin Spacey, Steven Baldwin, Gabriel Byrne and Benicio Del Toro, the film follows a guy called Verbal (he talks a lot) who has cerebral palsy, he is telling the cops about a crime that left 20 dead, the crime happened on a harbour as the cops find the burnt bodies on the boat and in the ocean, a name is mentioned Keyser Soze.

We open on a boat that’s on fire, the cops pull bodies from the water including one survivor who is badly burnt, a Hungarian who while in hospital yells the name Keyser Soze, in a police station a guy called Verbal is telling two cops about the crime on the boat the film is told in flashbacks and we see Verbal and other people named McManus, Keaton, Fenster and Hockney McManus decides to get back at the cops by going after a smuggler escorted by corrupt cops and stealing the items, the job goes well and the team fly to LA and meet with a guy called Redfoot, he tells them of another job they can do another smuggling job but this time it’s heroin.

Once they complete the job they find out that the shipment isn’t full of heroin but instead jewellery thus Redfoot telling the gang that the job was set up by a lawyer named Kobayashi, they are approached by Kobayashi and they are told that he works for Keyser Soze, he hands them folders revealing every piece of detail about them, Kobayashi tells them that if they destroy 91 million dollars worth of cocaine being sold to Hungarians they can keep the money, fail and Soze kills the team and their families.

Fenster bails on the group and later his body is found at an address given by Kobayashi, trying to kidnap him they find out that Keatons girlfriend is a well known criminal lawyer and is there at the offices discussing legal matters thus finding out that Soze will kill her if the job fails, Soze also tells that their families will be killed with untold mayhem, so with no choice they go and do the mission.

At the harbour and this is where things get really confusing so bare with me, they are at the harbour when Keaton tells Verbal to stay back and if the plan fails he should take the money to keaton’s girlfriend, the gang kill the Hungarians and Argentinians while looking for the coke, finding that there is no come on board but instead find a guy who is shot by an unknown figure who then proceeds to kill Keaton and sets the boat on fire, Verbal claims it was Keiser Soze.

Back in the police station it is revealed that the guy on the boat was a man called Arturo Marquez, who had claimed to see Keyser Soze and has escaped prosecution, the cop says that Marquez was being sold to Soze’s Hungarian gang and Keaton was using the heist as a distraction, Verbal then says tearfully that it was all Keaton’s idea leading the cop to believe that Keaton is Keyser Soze, Verbal leaves and the cop chats with another cop as he takes a sip from his coffee mug he looks over to the clipboard, there he says names like Redfoot, and once he drops the mug the name Kobayashi is revealed on the bottom of the mug. The story was a lie told by Verbal and it is revealed that (look away now and go watch the film stop reading) it is revealed that Verbal is Keyser Soze (well I did warn you) as he limps down the street his limp becomes better and better and now he is walking normally, he never had cerebral palsy, he gets into a car and we meet Kobayashi, tho cop chases after him and misses him, Verbal’s voice comes over and says “and then poof he is gone”

And that was The Usual Suspects, wow just wow this film was fantstasic I mean it had me on the edge of my seat and that twist though, I didn’t see that coming at all the twist was so amazingly perfect I’m still scratching my head right now I mean it’s clever, the fi,m itself is a little slow at points but the finale is worth the wait, if you haven’t seen this film I really would recommend it I mean the twist is brilliant I mean just brilliant, do yourselves a favour once you have read this go and watch you will not be disappointed, I would give this film a solid 10/10 mainly because of the twist that’s it, I hope you enjoy it, here’s a link to the full movie on YouTube if your interested http://youtu.be/i4e5T217cyk until next time catch ya later

Avengers: Age Of Ultron Review Spoilers Ahead (do not read if you have not seen this yet)

Probably the best superhero film to come out in our generation, when I found out last year that a sequel was being made I was excited, now this is a bit of a problem because this film is not out in america yet (may 1st) so if your reading this and your from the states STOP READING!!! if you don’t want to get spoiled. So let’s dive in to this amazing film. Age Of Ultron follows the Avengers battle a villain called Ultron (played brilliantly by James Spader the guy from The Blacklist) Tony Stark creates Ultron using Loki’s scepter they took from a castle compound, when Ultron is created Jarvis tries communicating with it and tells Ultron that he is a peace keeping program but Ultron believes he is meant to destroy the human race by copying his DNA in to another robot called vision, but the Avengers foil the plans of Ultron and take vision for themselves using Jarvis’s A.I.

Meanwhile twins Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are working with Ultron, but after Scarlet Witch uses her vision powers she sees Ultron’s real plan and goes to work with the avengers, the Avengers now in hiding after an incident in Africa go to stay with Hawkeye’s girlfriend and their two children, after some talking Thor goes and sees Erik Selvig after Scarlet Witch shows him a vision, Selvig takes him to a pool in a cave where Thor sees the rest of his vision. The Avengers have to go back to where the castle compound is to stop Ultron from his plan, after half the city rises showing a large amount of vibranium is seen underneath the rising city if it is blown up the city will be destroyed killing everyone in there. Ultron and Vision have a battle while the Avengers battle Ultron’s minions, after the minions are destroyed Scarlet Witch kills Ultron but Quicksilver dies after saving Hawkeye and a child by barricading them behind some cars.

Later on the Avengers have made a new base in upstate New York, after iron Man and Hawkeye leave the avengers leaving Captain America, Black Widow, War Machine, Scarlet Witch and Falcon in the Avengers.

in the post credit scene Thanos is unhappy and picks up the infinity gauntlet and says “fine i’ll do it myself”

And that was Avengers: Age Of Ultron and what a film it was i mean it was, i mean it was funny, there were tons of laugh out loud moments, there was tons of action (it is a marvel film after all) it was awesome i would rate this film a solid 10/10 i can now cross off one of the films from my anticipated films list.

The anticipation is killing me

We was teased with a trailer for the official trailer, we was teased with posters at comic con last year, we had an official trailer, we had a Super Bowl trailer, and now we have a second official trailer, if you don’t know what I am talking about then never fear because I will tell you, Jurassic World…. We have teased with this movie for near enough a year now and guys… Two months to go until the most anticipated movie of the summer hits our screens.

Now the trailer looks bloody epic I mean there’s guns, explosions and dinosaurs (Michael Bay is drooling at the mouth right about now) the trailer is amazing I mean we see the tank that the mosasaurus is in and best of all we see the infamous Indominus Rex (the fierce untameable king) that’s the Latin translation for all you people who didn’t know. So now we’ve seen this fierce and ferocious beast and it looks amazing, a quote from the Super Bowl trailer says that this will give the parents nightmares, I’m not going to lie but it’s truly terrifying here is an image of it

this is the fierce untamable king

So here is the moment you have all been waiting for here is the second trailer for the massively anticipated Jurassic world trailer http://youtu.be/aJJrkyHas78 Enjoy

This is dedicated to the fans of the Jurassic Park franchise, all aboard the nostalgia train choo choo http://youtu.be/msimASAXoys

And that concludes my third review (maybe second review) on Jurassic world, until next time catch ya later

Really Hollywood really

Okay I’ve just seen a YouTube video that says and I quote a play dough movie is in the works… Yes you heard me a play dough movie, you know that big selling toy that you can create anything with, does that sound familiar, something starting with l and ending in o Lego, but it’s nit following in the Lego Movie’s footsteps instead it’s taking very bold move and making it…. live action, yes that is correct a live action play dough movie, which begs the question how in the name of all things holy are they going to do that. Let’s talk about director rumours well one director has been rumoured to be directing it, Paul Feig, you know the guy who directed Bridesmaids the biggest box office hit of 2011, yeah he is rumoured to be directing this head scratching film.

I can honestly say to you that Hollywood are running out of ideas, I mean first we had a Lego movie which was a box office smash, now we’re getting something else a play dough movie, really Hollywood but this brings me to another point, I mean we have the Fast and Furious franchise but Hollywood decided to make a Need For Speed movie, which is like a poor mans Fast and Furious, now the Lego Movie has come out Hollywood and snapped up the idea to make a play dough movie, which begs yet another question, does Hollywood make these movies to compete with the main titles i.e. fast and furious, are they doing this to compete, with compete I mean box office records and money, are they trying to outdo each other by creating similar movies, for instance fast and furious had Paul Walker as one of the leads, Need for Speed has Aaron Paul, fast and furious had Ludacris, need for speed had Kid Cudi, you catch my drift they use the same type of actors/rappers.

I don’t know exactly how this is going to pan out, I mean it might be good it might be bad, maybe the live action theme might work, I mean Lego movie had live action scenes in it but only for a short part and that was funny and worked really well, I don’t know I have my doubts with this one. There isn’t a release date as of yet but I might go see it just to see how it is and what it’s like, let me know what you think of this comment with your opinion I would love to hear what you think of this but until next time catch ya later

The Sacrament

Underrated horror films come in all shapes and sizes, you can get a gem or you can get a flop, a snooze fest to an edge of your seat thrill ride, the Sacrament was… Neither, well it was kind of a horror I mean the horror of what happens in the film yeah, if your looking for jumpscares then this really isn’t the film for you. The film says it’s based on true story and it is, they have borrowed events form the Jonestown massacre, if you don’t know what that was then I will tell you, back in the 70s there was a group called The People’s Temple Agricultrual Project, seems like a nice name for a group, well anyway they had a group in Jonestown near Guyana, now this became notorious because it caused the deaths of 913 people in the commune (cause of deaths were cyanide poisoning) so anyway I have digressed lets get back on subject umm oh yeah the sacrament.

The story follows a real life company called Vice (they do documentaries about all sorts of stuff in the world) here’s a link to the their YouTube channel https://m.youtube.com/user/vice so they are interviewing a guy called Patrick who works for Vice, Patrick’s sister is a recovering drug addict living in a place called Eden Parish, run by a man only known as Father, Patric along with two cameramen working for vice head over to Eden Parish, after a close call with some guards at the entrance of the commune Patrick’s sister turns up and apologises for the mixup, they enter and see what the commune are doing, father has saved all of the community of Eden Parish, they meet a nurse who tells the crew that they are fully stocked with medical supplies because the members funded them by selling all of their possessions.

Patrick goes of with the sister, and the other two cameramen are shown to their cabins, there they meet a mute girl and her mother (who acts very shady towards them) after interviewing some of the members, they finally have a meeting with Father himself, after an awkward interview, father tells them to party, while the party is going on, the mute girl hands a note requesting the cameramen to help, turns out a small group of people want to leave, and accuse father of of brainwashing and abusing the commune, they try to help.

They find Patrick having a threesome, Patrick’s sister comes out drunk and tells them that they need his money, becoming suspicious they become angry and distrustful of father and try to sleep through the night, the next morning they see the people want to get out of there, and father disapproves, one of the cameramen go to the helicopter to try and delay the pilot, it doesn’t work, and the pilot is shot, back at the camp a fit is breaking out the cameraman tries to break it up but Patrick’s sister denounces him and takes him hostage.

Father gathers the commune and persuades them to drink cyanide laced Kool Aid if they refuse they are shot dead, the cameraman who went to the helicopter pilot comes back to find everyone dead apart form the armed guards, Patrick is with his sister as she injects him she cradles him in her arms until he dies, the cameramen are with father who takes some drugs and then shoots himself dead, the cameramen then make it out by the skin of their teeth.

And that was the sacrament, now this ticked all the boxes for me, found footage yes, suspenseful yes good story line oh yes, this film was great I mean really great, it never had any flaws at all, the only flaw I would say was its run time it’s about 80-90 minutes, but apart from that it was a good film I would give this film a 9/10 only for the run time and that’s it.

You can the information on the true story here if you are interested, http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonestown this is the event that the film is based on until next time catch you later.

Directioners

Okay I have just seen on Twitter something sad, as you know in the news Zayne from one direction has quit he left this week, leaving directioners sad, disappointed, angry and upset, but what worries me is how people are taking it, now I’m not directing this at all directioners I’m just saying my opinion on this, people are slitting their wrists, now I know what your thinking “Jack why are you making a big deal out of it” I’m not I’m just voicing my opinion on this. Now people are slitting their wrists and posting it to Twitter using the hashtag #cutforzayne now I find pretty damn cruel because people do this as a suicide attempt to kill themselves, mostly because they are depressed, but I digress, please stop cutting yourselves and I speak to directioners when I say this, stop, stop harming yourselves, self harming is a big issue in this world we live in, and your doing this because some dude left a boyband, really!! He’s gonna persue a solo career he’s not quitting the music industry for good, so please stop harming yourselves because on dude has left something that you adore, it’s his desicion, and slitting your wrists is not gonna make him come back, and posting them to Twitter is not gonna help either.

I hope people will understand how serious this is and please let’s make a stop to self harming, I hate seeing people who slit their wrists, I had mates who done it and they would come in to school and show me the scars, and I  just used to think why? Why would you do that to yourself, if you are somebody who does this please speak to someone, please, there’s loads of people you can talk to in this world and they can help you, don’t result to self harming, thank you for reading this and I hope people can learn from this, once again thank you.

Valentine’s Day Review

Now I know I’m super super late for this film since I have been busy (it was my birthday on Valentine’s Day the day I was going to post this) but with that said here it is, Valentine’s Day, this is basically an American Love Actually only with american actors and set around Valentine’s Day, well any way the story follows several Los Angeles residents, we see their different stories and what they get up to on the most romantic time of the year, form break-ups to rejected marriage proposals and young lovers, now again this is a chick flick and my mum had this on one day and I thought I’ve got nothing to do so let’s watch this.

Valentine’s Day follows the story of diffrerent Los Angeles residents around Valentine’s Day ( I’m not gonna explain the stories because it’s gonna take some time) well any way the film has an all star cast (and I mean all star cast) people like Julia Roberts, Bradley Cooper, Jamie Foxx and Anne Hathaway and many more famous faces, now what did I think of this film, well I thought it was a feel good kinda movie, I mean it made me feel warm and fuzzy inside, but however one scene did bring a tear to my eye, Julia Roberts plays a soldier who is coming home to see someone that she loves, we think it’s her husband, well as the story goes on we see a child in bed and voila she appears she’s visiting her son, now that’s a feel good twist and I likes that, I love twists, but overall I really enjoyed this movie I thought it was feel good romantic story I would give this film a 9/10 well that’s it that was Valentine’s Day if you have seen this film let me know what you thought of it, until next time catch you later

Fifty Shades Of Grey Review (don’t ask)

I was told by a friend to review this one, I didn’t feel comfortable going to the cinema to see it so I went with some mates, what went down was the most awkward film I have sat through at the cinema. Fifty Shades Of Grey is based on the massively popular book by E.L James and it’s about a guy called Christian Grey a billionaire who is also a fan of snm (Sadism and masochism) basically he likes it rough, so a woman called Anatasia Steele goes to interview Mr Grey and after an awkward interview she leaves, but then develops a crush on him, he then turns up at the place where Anatasia works and asks for some cable ties and some tape, so after a few meetings we that Mr Grey doesn’t do romance like some people, and he shows Anastasia the infamous red room where Mr Grey keeps his toys.

Ms Steele goes home and gets an email from Mr Grey to do some research on submission and dominance and we see the results that come up (now I never knew what this stuff was and to be honest I wish I didn’t now) so Christian wants Anastasia to be his submissive while Mr grey is the dominate one, so again after a few meetings we see the infamous red room of pain in action, (and cue the most awkward and disturbing scene I have ever witnessed) now I won’t go in to too much detail about what happens here but for people who have read the books you can imagine.

So after a few dates Anastasia asks Christian what he would do if she was naughty, so he whips her with a belt numerous times, Anastasia decides that this isn’t the relationship for her and decides to break up with Christian thus ending the film. Oh boy, oh boy okay what did I think of this film, well I can’t say I enjoyed it I mean as awkward as it was, it was not very good this film is 100% a chick flick with out a shadow of a doubt, now what did I think of the characters, well Mr Grey was okay I mean you start to feel for him after we hear his past (he was a submissive at a very young age) I mean you feel really sorry for him, and Anastasia is just your typical girl in chick flicks, the calm shy college girl, but apart from the sex scenes you have got your standard run of the mill chick flick I would give this film a 2/10 mainly because it wasn’t my cup of tea (if you catch my drift) well now comes the dreaded question what did you think of the film? was it your cup of tea? Let me know, I would love to hear your opinion on this one but until next time catch ya later.
