Godzilla (2014) review

Godzilla, what an epic movie, ignore the 90s version (we all know that was god awfully bad) now I wanted to go cinema to see this, but sadly it wasn’t up there so I had to wait for the DVD to come out, so I picked it up and sat down with the family (well not my mum it’s not her type of film) anyway we sat down and watched it.

So what’s the story about, well as you can see it’s about Godzilla but it’s also about the people that tries to stop him people like the army and scientists. Now I loved this film I thought it was really good, cgi was impressive as was the acting, but did it have its flaws no, and I will tell you why minus the long running time (118 minutes) it definatly has pace and quick one too, I mean it’s very pacey and there’s action in almost every scene, but that doesn’t mean there’s no talking, now let’s talk about the cast, now there’s not an all star cast but is does have its fair share of actors so whose in it you say, well I shall tell you’ve got Bryan Cranston who plays Joe Brody Aaron-Taylor Johnson who plays Ford Brody and Elizabeth Olsen who plays Ellie Brody, there’s a lot more actors and actresses in here but too name them all will take forever.

Now let’s take a look at the action/CGI, now the CGi was fantastic I mean Godzilla looked and sounded great as did Muto (a winged creature who is Godzilla’s nemesis) the action was superb and I mean brilliant I was on the edge of my sofa watching this, (the final battle with Godzilla and Muto was epic)  the character delevopment was great, we really learn a lot from these characters and their past.

And that was Godzilla, and what a film it was I mean I really enjoyed this film I was on the edge of my seat for the whole thing, the action was amazing as was the storyline. So let me know what you thought of Godzilla did you like it, or didn’t you? did you like the 90s version or not? Until next time catch you later.
